CUMANN CEOIL

(Irish Traditional Group)

This year saw the formation of an Irish Traditional Orchestra in the school.  There are currently fifteen students attending the club every Tuesday.  Due to the huge success of their playing and training there are now TEN children entered in for their first grades through the London College of Music.  It is hoped that most of these children will leave Holy Family now with at least Grade 2 if not Grade 4 - a fantastic achievement!

BODHRAN

This year saw the start of private Bodhran lessons in the school from Mr Rohan Young.  Six children are currently receiving bodhran lessons.  They are now able to keep time and speed with a number of Irish Traditional tunes and will be performing at the end of year school recital.
